Sales Arborist

• The client relationship, start to finish. You are the primary point of contact for residential, commercial, HOA, and municipal clients, and how you take care of them is what keeps our name strong.
• The property assessment. You walk the site, diagnose tree and shrub health, catch the pests and diseases others miss, and recommend the right care, from pruning and removals to integrated plant health care and pest management.
• The proposal. You turn what you see into clear, timely, accurate estimates that clients understand and trust.
• Every visit is a fresh sale. Even on a longtime account, you are looking for the next right recommendation: the tree that needs a management plan, the landscape ready for a proactive health care program. Every property is a chance to grow the business.
• Long-term relationships. You build the kind of trust that keeps clients with Earth-Wise for years, not one job at a time.
• Partnership with operations. You work hand in hand with our field teams so every promise you make is one the crews can keep.
• Your book and your records. You keep detailed client and sales activity in our systems, and you represent Earth-Wise professionally across the community and the industry.

You are a salesperson who knows the tree world, or an arborist with a real gift for selling. Either way, you can earn a homeowner's trust on the first property walk and turn expert recommendations into work sold. Here is what that looks like:

• One of two backgrounds, plus the drive to sell. You are either an ISA Certified Arborist with sales experience, or you hold a Colorado Department of Agriculture Qualified Supervisor (QS) license with some sales experience. Bring both, and you are exactly who we are hoping to find. One is a plus – both are what we are looking for!
• Sales instincts that show up in the numbers. Maybe it came from traditional sales, or maybe from years of advising and upselling clients as a field arborist or plant health care tech. Either way, you know how to turn a property walk into work sold.
• Grounded in science. You know tree biology, insect and disease diagnostics, and integrated pest management (IPM), and you back every recommendation with arboricultural best practices in accordance with the CDA & EPA.
• At home with discerning clients. You carry yourself well on high-profile properties, you respect privacy and the occasional NDA, and you deliver the kind of white glove service our clientele expects.
• Organized and accurate. You develop sound estimates and manage multiple client relationships without letting the details slip.
• Road-ready. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record, since you will be on the road to client properties nearly every day.

• ISA Certified Arborist. A must. If not currently credentialed – must be able to obtain within 90 days.
• A Board-Certified Master Arborist credential. This one genuinely moves the needle for us, and for the right master arborist there is room in the offer to reflect it.
• Additional ISA or CDA credentials, such as TRAQ (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification), or QS pest designations beyond ornamental like turf, forest, or right-of-way.
• Experience with CRM and estimating software. You are comfortable keeping your pipeline and proposals organized in the tools we use.
• Rocky Mountain familiarity. Knowing our high-altitude species helps, though solid pest and disease instincts travel anywhere, so this is a plus and not a must.
• Roots in the valley. Local relationships across the Roaring Fork Valley that turn into business.

This role offers a base salary of $70,000 - $80,000 a year, plus commission on the profitable work you sell. • A Colorado Department of Agriculture Qualified Supervisor (QS) license, ornamental designation preferred. Selling plant health care in Colorado legally requires it, so if you do not already hold it, you will earn it within 90 days of hire. We cover the cost and study time, and we support recertification when it comes due.
• ISA Certified Arborist. A must. If not currently credentialed – must be able to obtain within 90 days.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record, since you will operate a company vehicle for client visits.
• Comfortable working outdoors on property walkthroughs across the valley's full range of mountain conditions: walking, standing, and bending through job sites, and able to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
• Able to pass a motor vehicle record check and a standard background check, which some of our high-profile clients ask us to confirm before work begins on their properties.
